I Lied Just a Little...

We didn't end up going to Pegu Club after all. 'Boyfriend' and I started walking there when we realized it was way too far from the restaurant to walk to on empty-food, liquor-filled tummies. Instead we went to Pravda, a Russian Vodka bar that 'boyfriend' knew about from years ago (I was v. impressed w/ him that he had this tidbit of info he had never mentioned. (Usually it's me, well Richard, that has all the cool bar/restaurant info.) Anyhoo, Pravda was awesome. I highly recommend. Get the crab cakes.

As far as Peasant goes, I am too lazy to review it right now...but it rocked. Go there. Do it. Get the sardines (no joke) and the pasta w/ lobster. Mmmmm, and did I mention they serve their bread w/ ricotta cheese instead of butter? Well they do. Enjoy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Happy Birthday, Old Man! Love you!

We're going to Peasant tonight for dinner w/ his fam, drinks beforehand at Pegu Club. Full reports tomorrow...

Read the Fine Print

A co-worker of mine set up a fun skating event last week that I was very excited to attend! Unfortunately, work stuff came up and I couldn't go. Very disappointing. However, to show my support, I finished up my work as quickly as possible and decided to stop by the skating rink on my walk home.

I raced over to the rink in Central Park and schmoozed my way in without having to pay. The security guard thought I was quite sketchy trying to sneak in, but I assured him that my "group" was inside skating and that I just wanted to watch. I told him how I had to work late and couldn't make it here on time to skate...blah blah...(you know how I ramble on...)

He must've felt sorry for me or something b/c he found the manager for me to talk to. I told Mr. Manager the same thing...my group is inside...I just wanted to watch...and he let me in. Score!

Once I'm in I start scouting out the place for people that I know. Hmm, there's a hockey practice taking place on one side of the ice, and on the other...kids w/ their moms. Umm...

So I called a co-worker who I knew would still be in the office. Where is our group skating, I asked her. To which she replied, Rockefeller Center.

And you know how the rest of the story goes...I am a dumbass.
